Amsterdam Musings

There is such a thing as Amsterdam Time: We'll get to it. Even the revolving doors take their own sweet time. Unless you are on a bicycle.

The Bicycle, as we see it, is more or less a toy for children or a way to get exercise, am I right? Here it is a total mode of transportation for everyone. You have one seater, two seater, one seater with a variety of seats for children from front wheel barrow shaped buckets to a seat in front of the primary rider to the traditional one on the back of the primary rider's seat. The riders wear work clothes, flip flops, dresses, skirts, shorts, long pants, suits, if you can think of it they wear it a ride a bike. One article of clothing they don't wear is a helmet.

Interesting tid bit: One is not allowed to smoke tobacco inside any building in Amersterdam, including a coffee bar where they sell marijuanna.

We walked by the sex cubicles again, lots of draps drawn. If a sex worker gets a corner bedroom, does she have a corner office?
I saw a few older prostitutes showing their product and I wondered if they make any money?
